Kelly Inouye lives and works in San Francisco, California. Her work explores some of the more obscure aspects of popular culture. Work from her Sitcom Series has been featured in exhibitions nationwide including “Contemporary Watercolor” at Morgan Lehman Gallery in New York. In the Bay Area she has exhibited at venues including Interface Gallery and Southern Exposure and she was recently awarded her first public art project by the San Francisco Arts Commission. She is a graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute (MFA 2008) and the University of California at San Diego in La Jolla (BA 1998). Kelly's work is featured in the current Pacific Coast edition of New American Paintings, she is a contributing writer for San Francisco Arts Quarterly, and runs Irving Street Projects, an exhibition space in the Outer Sunset district of San Francisco.
